Live Internet Weddings

American couples continue to choose destination weddings in record numbers.

The allure is great: the opportunity to celebrate both a wedding and a once-in-a-lifetime adventure in a fabulous location with family and friends. And of America's many premier locations, Hawaii has always been on the top of the list. Hawaii's beautiful beaches and tropical weather make it a romantic and exotic wedding destination, yet with all of the conveniences of home.

For many couples, the only drawback of a destination wedding is that not all of their friends and family can make the trip. Sometimes financial, health, or fear of flying concerns can prevent some of the couple's loved ones from participating. Larry Fair, owner and operator of Live Internet Weddings, had an epiphany one afternoon while watching a couple tying the knot on an Oahu beach. He realized that even if some of the couple's friends and family could not attend the wedding, there was no reason why they could not share in the momentous occasion from the comfort of their own homes. So Larry began Live Internet Weddings, now the largest of its kind in Hawaii, with service expanding worldwide.

Many of today's couples want their wedding to reflect their own unique personalities and interests. They want to be able to marry anywhere - the world is their oyster! - and to begin their married lives with the spirit of adventure that they hope to live by. With the advancement of modern technology, ceremonies can take place anywhere, Larry explains. Live Internet Weddings is no longer bound to only those places with high speed Internet. "With our cutting edge technology, we can broadcast your wedding live from the remotest beach or mountain," Larry says.

Live Internet WeddingsThe first Live Internet Wedding was performed in a chapel in Waikiki Beach. The father of the groom could not attend the ceremony because he was in Iraq. Larry remembers, "I could sense that the groom, William, was feeling a little down. He explained that his dad was in Iraq and couldn't be there for the wedding. When I told him that we would be putting this wedding online for him to see, it was as if the weight of the world had been lifted off his shoulders. His father was on a combat mission, but even so, he was able to watch his son's face glow with happiness as he said "I do!"

Live Internet Weddings has grown to include Larry's son Joshua. The company has partnered with premier resort giant, Starwood Hotels. Currently, Starwood Hotels has ten resorts on the four major Hawaiian Islands. At each location, guests can Live Internet Weddings' services are available from the onsite chapels.

Other features that Live Internet Weddings offers are a popular service of slideshows and ceremony highlights played at the reception. Paul and Leilani Rivera, from Kaneohe, HI, got married and held their reception at the Ko'olau Golf Club. Over 300 guests were present, and one thing they wanted was a slideshow projected on a big screen.

The bride explains, "One thing we really wanted to include at our wedding reception was a slideshow. In planning our wedding we were selective in choosing our vendors. Being a bride, you want everything to be just fairy-tale perfect on your special day... and if you have great vendors, you are more at ease. We shopped around to see what was out there, and chose to work with Live Internet Weddings because not only is Josh's work good... but he is a good person... and that was a huge factor for me in choosing vendors."

Leilani also made a special request. "I knew what I wanted, and had asked Josh if it was possible to include bridal party interviews somehow in our slideshow. Josh was very accommodating to our requests, and made great suggestions. He made everyone in the bridal party feel comfortable."

"The biggest highlight for both Paul and me at our reception was the video presentation... it turned out to be better than what we had imagined. Seeing it for the first time with all our guests was absolutely wonderful!! The interview clips incorporated with our slideshow were awesome. I laughed, I cried... I was highly impressed, along with everyone else!! Having our special day documented on DVD is great! We can share it with our friends, and it's always fun to watch - over and over again."

Live Internet Weddings is one-of-a-kind in the Hawaii wedding industry, and its opportunity for growth is limitless. Mr. Fair's goal is to make wedding webcasts a standard in the industry by reaching people worldwide with his services.
